Either my mind or the gods hate me. As of now, 16 hours before I get to go home for spring break, I feel like shit. I'm roasting alive (despite the fact that the window is open some and the fan is on), I'm all ache-y and shake-y, my throat hurts and is all phlegm-y, and my head is pounding. I've done something to piss the gods off, or I'm one gigantic hypochondriac whose brain is out to get him. Josh left earlier today, so I have the room to myself. Since I don't have to worry about bothering him with loud music; I've been playing my iTunes library on shuffle sans headphones while I read. In just slightly more than 24 hours I managed to finish the second book in the Jedi Academy Trilogy. I also made a run to the comic book shop today to pick up New Avengers #50, Dark Avengers #2, and Ender's Shadow: Battle School #3. NA and DA were quite good. They both contained epic ass-fightscenes with a few interesting deaths (supposedly). I haven't goten to Shadow yet, but I will later on tonight. Anywho, I've determined that I can get a fairly restful sleep in about 2 hours if I play Blackmore's Night in the background. It felt like 2 or 3 hours had passed when I looked at the clock and realized it had only been 45 minutes. Josh took his tv home with him, so I have nothing to watch. Well, I'll probably watch more X-Men on the internet, but that's different. For now this lil jay is going to try to pull a GLaDOS and try to be Still Alive. G'night y'all. For shits and giggles I tried going to sleep early again tonight. I don't have anything going on tomorrow, so I'm free to experiment with sleep without penalty. I woke up around 1300 today (after falling asleep around 0630), and I haven't napped or anything today. I fell asleep around 2300, and woke up at almost exactly 0100. Woo! We've reduced the sleep from three down to two whole hours before I wake up. I tossed and turned until abut 0130 when I got up. Tonight I'm not even going to try to go back to sleep. I'm just going to stay up until either I can't anymore or until tomorrow night comes along and I have to sleep. Maybe that's what I need right now; a good all-nighter. I wish there were more places open 24 hours around here that I could go to with anyone who is still awake. That's one thing that I don't like about the area; there are no Eat n' Parks anywhere near here. We have Perkins. I'm not a fan of Perkins. It just doesn't have the kick ass-ness (xkcd rule in action) that the Park n' Eats do. Maybe I should be an owl instead of a blue jay. I pull an owl's hours, and I'm kinda wise. Just don't ask me how many licks it takes to get to the ccenter of a Tootsie-Pop. I'm not cool enough to eat one in one crunch. Heheh On another consumer related note; tomorrow is comic shop day! I get to pick up New Avengers #50, Dark Avengers #2, and Ender's Shadow: Battle School #3. I'm all kinds of excited!

Something different. I've noticed that when I'm up on campus I don't talk to nearly as many people as I do when I'm at home. Of my close friends: Addison, Joe, Graham, Tay, Kyle, Devon, Alex, and Nick I've recently spoken to: Kyleand Addison. The only real reason I've spoken to Alex and Nick was to make future plans, Tay is a different case because I go to college with her, I haven't talked to Graham or Joe since winter break, and the only times I've talked to Devon were when he's texted me first. I'm not sure why I lose contact with everyone so easily. I can explain Joe and Graham because they don't have texting, and they're never on AIM. Nick is the same way, but I used to call him every so often (more than now), and we'd talk about whatever. Devon has both AIM and texting, but I'm not sure why I haven't spoken to him in a while. I feel like I'm neglecting them all, but when I'm up on campus I get all kinds of anti-social. It's a douch-y thing for me to do, and I feel like an ass for not staying in touch with everybody especially because all I have to do is pick up the god damn phone. To anyone of y'all reading this I'm sorry for baing an un-attentive bastard.

I'm running out of shit to say, so I'm going to head out. My book is calling me. To those who can sleep I say G'night.

The party hasn't even started, and it's already going downhill. Kyle couldn't come which makes me a sad birdy, Nick called and told me he couldn't come (30 minutes after I had left to go get him), and Constantine called to say he couldn't come. Josh and I are still coming (it is our room after all), Tay and Danish are still comming, and Kirsten and her boyfriend Scotty might be coming (she's still a bit put off by Tay, so she may not come). It's still a party, but (no offense to those who're still coming) it's not a partay. We don't have crabman, I don't have my roo, and the greek charades champ isn't around. We still have our ravers and anime kids, so it's still cool. I just hope that all of this is just a little thing and not an omen signaling worse things to come tonight. I guess we'll find out soon enough, and y'all find out either later on tonight or tomorrow (depending how tired/busy I am).

I also went to the comic shop nearby, and it was quite amazing. I picked up Deadpool #'s 1-3, The New Avengers #49, Dark Avengers #1, Ender's Game #3, and Ender's Shadow #'s 1&2. There are 4 more Deadpool comics I need before I'm caught up, but aside from that everything's cool. I also had a 15% off coupon for Barnes & Noble, so I picked up Young Avengers vol 1. Sidekicks. With the first 6 volumes of New Avengers (collecting #'s1-31) coming I'm doing pretty well getting caught up on new-ish comics (or at least the ones I like). I'm becoming more and more of a comic nerd, so I'm pretty happy. Heheh Either way this jay has to get ready for the party, so I'll report back eventually. See y'all. *flies off into the unknown*

Well it looks like I have no life. In the course of 3 days I have read through the archives of 3 different webcomics. The first, S.S.D.D, takes place both in the present and the future. In the present it's just four roommates living together and having wacky adventures. A fox and his mate, a stoner, and an Anarchist rabbit who likes to blow things up every Guy Fawkes Day. In the future the world has decended into Anarchy, and the few bits of military are trying to stop the CAS (Collection of Anarchist States) from taking over the universe. There is a bit of time travel, lots of flash backs/flash forwards, and it's a really good story. It's been runnning since 1998, and it's still going strong. Check it out at www.poisonedminds.com/

The next comic is a relatively new one called Zodiac. In a world of superpowered beings, a corporation has decided to get 12 of them together, so that they may protect the company and it's assetts. The last is a comic that is pretty damn popular with us furries. It's called Sabrina Online. It's a comic about Sabrina, a skunk, and her life working as the tech lady at a porn studio. There's some romance, some comedy, and a pretty damn good cast of characters. It's updated in chunks once a month, and has been running since September of 1996. At first it didn't seem like my thing, but after a little while it grew on me. It's at sabrina-online.com/index.html
